Brief Introduction:

Otorhinolaryngology is a specialty dedicated to diagnosis, medical & surgical treatment of diseases of Ear, Nasal Cavity, Paranasal sinusis, Oral Cavity, Pharynx, Larynx and Head & Neck. (Thyroid gland, tumors of nasal cavity, larynx, pharynx that cavity & facial plastic surgery).

ENT-A unit is part of the Department of ENT and Head & Neck Surgery Hayatabad Medical Complex, which has been relentlessly growing in quality & strength. It is composed of a team of specialists including Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor & Registrars and resident trainees, house officers, nursing & paramedical staff who are devoted to the prevention, diagnosis &treatment of diseases affecting ear, nose, oral cavity, pharynx & larynx. It is a major tertiary care referral centre for remote areas including FATA, FR Peshawar, Afghanistan, Kohat, Bannu and other areas along the indus highway.

Services:

This unit is recognized by PMDC, HEC & CPSP for post graduate training. It offers post graduate training program for DLO, MCPS & FCPS. We have an organized teaching program for post graduate trainees. This unit is actively involved in research work & a large number of research articles have been published by the faculty & trainees both nationally & internationally. It provides emergency cover round the clock. Emergency and elective procedures are carried out in this unit on designated emergency days. It includes different procedures on Ear, Nose, Throat, Larynx, Pharynx and Trachea. A part from these, challenging and advanced Oncological surgeries and aesthetic plastic procedures are also carried out in this unit.
